Sorry for the Silence!

First, I have to apologize to all of my MANY faithful readers who diligently check back week after week eagerly awaiting a new update (I know I'm delusional, but let's just play along, ok? I know at least one person who is eagerly awaiting updates - Hi Sara!).

In any case, I have an excuse (although, I admit, not a great one), I got a job. WAAAY back in the beginning of August, I started working. I worked for about 3 days then went on vacation to NJ for a week and a half, then I was back for another 5 days or so and then I went on another vacation for 5 days, and now I'm back to work. So the last month and a half or so has been a blur of working and travelling. Since I've started working my typical daily schedule has been something like this: wake-up, go to work, come home from work, change, run, shower, eat, sleep, repeat. As you can see that doesn't leave much time for reporting on my training progress... or anything else, really. It's been a bit difficult getting used to having a LOT less free time than I am used to, hence the silence on this here blog. Rest assured, though, that the silence does NOT mean that I've stopped training. Au contraire, I completed 17 miles last Sat, and next weekend is our last long run (20 miles!!) before we begin to taper in preparation for the big event.

So, please bear with me as I adjust to having limited free time, and over the next week or so (hopefully, this weekend) I will attempt to fill you all in on the details of my training during the last month and a half. Get ready for a whole slew of new posts!

Thanks for posting something at least! ; )

I can't believe you shower before you eat dinner in the evenings. Aren't you dying of hunger by then?

Mark has been making dinner on the nights I run, so I shower while he's cooking.

And I have a snack before I run so I'm not too hungry. ;-)
